How Resume Examples grew from $80K to $1.3M ARR across 28 language sites

An AI resume builder with a network of sites in 28 languages had content that ranked but did not convert. As Global SEO Manager, I owned the content strategy and production engine behind organic growth, and took ARR from $80K to $1.3M in 18 months.

The situation

Traffic in 28 languages, revenue that was not keeping up

Resume Examples is an AI resume builder that runs 28 independent language sites, from English, French and Spanish to Turkish, Azerbaijani and Brazilian Portuguese. Every site has its own search behaviour, its own writers and its own targets.

  • 28 language sites
  • 60+ writers
  • 7 time zones

The content was ranking, but users were dropping off after the click. That told me the problem was not visibility. It was intent: pages that won the search but did not match what the searcher came to do.

Quality also varied from market to market. With dozens of writers across continents, there was no single standard holding it together.

The outcome

16x annual recurring revenue in 18 months

Organic search became the growth engine. Better intent matching, one standard across every market and pages rebuilt for conversion turned existing traffic into paying customers.

What I did

How I scaled one standard across 28 language sites

I led a team of 60+ writers across 7 time zones. The job was to make 28 language sites perform like one: same quality bar, same intent discipline, same speed.

Found where ranking pages lost buyers

I mapped keyword opportunities and intent in SurferSEO, then laid them against Google Analytics and Search Console data to find the pages that ranked but lost users after the click. Those intent gaps set the priorities for every market.

    Drop-off mapped page by page
A Portuguese resume article in the SurferSEO editor with a content score of 95
A Portuguese market article in production, scored 95 against search intent and competitors.

Set one content standard for 28 language sites

I wrote the core content guidelines covering structure, intent matching and on-page SEO. They became the standard for all 60+ writers in every language, so quality held as output scaled.

    Built the production engine

I built an Airtable workflow with Zapier automations that moved briefs, deadlines, approvals and feedback across 7 time zones without a bottleneck. The team consistently shipped hundreds of optimised articles every month.

    Rebuilt landing pages to convert

I created and rebuilt the core landing pages site by site. I tracked drop-off, fixed the user flow and adjusted messaging on conversion data, which lifted engagement and retention across the sites.

Content at scale, tied to revenue

Every market published to the same standard, and every page earned its place by what it did for signups and revenue.
